Ingleside Ethylene’s recently awarded engineering and construction contract for a 1.2-billion lbs/year ethylene plant at Ingleside, TX, means that the company, a 50-50 joint venture between OxyChem, a subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum; and Mexichem, will be in the first wave of the numerous steam crackers due to be completed in the United States this decade (CW, Dec. 2/9, p. 4)....
