Nippon Shokubai to raise capacity for specialty acrylic resin

Nippon Shokubai says it plans to expand capacity for its Acryviewa optical acrylic resin to meet growing demand. The company plans to add 3,000 m.t./year of capacity at its Himeji, Japan, manufacturing complex. The expansion will bring Nippon Shokubai’s total capacity for this specialty acrylic resin to 9,000 m.t./year. The mechanical completion of the new facility is planned for the end of April 2016.
