Nigerian Firm and Mitsubishi Ink Ammonia-Urea Project Deal

Notore Chemical Industries (Notore; Lagos) has signed a joint venture agreement with Mitsubishi Corp. to develop an ammonia and urea complex at Notoreâ€™s Onne, Nigeria site. Notore already owns and operates an ammonia and urea plant at Onne, the only unit of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa. The new ammonia-urea project will involve construction of an integrated complex with production capacity for 1,700 m.t./day of ammonia; 3,000 m.t./day of urea; and 1,500 m.t./day of petrochemicals, details of which were not disclosed.
