Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Nigerian Firm and Mitsubishi Ink Ammonia-Urea Project Deal7:26 AM MDT | April 27, 2012 Notore Chemical Industries (Notore; Lagos) has signed a joint venture agreement with Mitsubishi Corp. to develop an ammonia and urea complex at Notore’s Onne, Nigeria site. Notore already owns and operates an ammonia and urea plant at Onne, the only unit of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa. The new ammonia-urea project will involve construction of an integrated complex with production capacity for 1,700 m.t./day of ammonia; 3,000 m.t./day of urea; and 1,500 m.t./day of petrochemicals, details of which were not disclosed.
