Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Neste and Total Advance Biodiesel JV Plans10:36 AM MDT | July 27, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Neste Oil (Helsinki) and Total are close to a final agreement on a previously announced biodiesel manufacturing joint venture at Total’s Dunkirk, France refinery, reports say. The plant would have capacity of 200,000 m.t./year and come onstream in 2008. It would use palm oil and animal fats as its feedstock. It would be Total’s first biodiesel unit and is estimated to cost €200 million ($258 million). Neste is due to complete a €100-million, 170,000-m.t./year biodiesel unit at Porvoo, Finland in mid-2007, and is planning a 200,000-m.t./year...
