Metafrax plans ammonia-urea manufacturing complex

Metafrax (Gubakha, Russia) plans to build an ammonia and urea manufacturing complex at its Gubakha site, the company’s chairman, Armen Garsylan, says. The project represents back-integration to urea production, part of which will be used in the company’s existing urea-formaldehyde resins plant. The company earlier considered buying into existing urea manufacturing capacity but decided to opt for its own facility.
