MOL and JSR establish JV in Hungary to manufacture S-SBR

MOL (Budapest) has reached an agreement with JSR (Tokyo) to establish a joint venture that will manufacture 60,000 m.t./year of solution-polymerized styrene butadiene rubber (S-SBR) at Tiszaújváros, Hungary, from 2017. The jv will be owned 51% by JSR and 49% by MOL. TVK (Tiszaújváros), a subsidiary of MOL, announced recently that it had begun construction of a 130,000-m.t./year butadiene recovery unit at the same site.
