Lurgi Builds Hydrogen Plant in Poland

Lurgi says it has signed an €80-million ($112.8 million) contract with Grupa Lotus (GdaĹ„sk, Poland) to build a hydrogen plant at GdaĹ„sk. The unit will have capacity to produce 7 m.t./hour of hydrogen. It will have feedstock flexibility allowing the use of natural gas, naphtha, and liquefied petroleum gas. Completion is scheduled for the second half of 2009. Separately, Lurgi will deliver crude oil distillation and vacuum distillation plants to Grupa Lotus at GdaĹ„sk under a contract valued at €102 million.
