Linde builds on-site hydrogen plant at Nynas’s Hamburg refinery

Linde has signed a long-term contract with Nynas (Stockholm), one of the world leaders in naphthenic specialty oils (NSPs) and the bitumen business, for the on-site supply of hydrogen at Nynas’s refinery at Hamburg. Linde Engineering, as part of the contract, will build a steam methane reformer plant, to produce hydrogen, at a cost of €30 million ($42 million). The facility is slated to be onstream in the fourth-quarter 2015 and will be operated by Linde Gases.
