Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Lenzing Builds Additional Tencel Fiber Plant in Austria9:15 AM MDT | July 6, 2012 Lenzing says it is going ahead with previously announced plans to build a Tencel cellulose fiber plant at Lenzing, Austria, at a cost of €130 million ($163.7 million). The move follows the completion of an environmental impact assessment process. Construction work has commenced on the facility, which will manufacture 67,000 m.t./year of Tencel fiber. Completion of the project is scheduled within two years. The project is one of the largest industrial investments in Austria, the company says.
