Lanxess to Expand Thionyl Chloride Capacity in India

Lanxess plans to increase capacity of thionyl chloride by 20% at its Nagda, India facility. The expansion is expected to be completed in the second half of 2012. The project will involve a single-digit million-euro investment, the company says. Thionyl chloride is an intermediate used to manufacture agchems, dyestuffs, fine chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.
