Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Lanxess investing €80 million to convert rubber plant in Brazil7:54 AM MST | March 8, 2013 Lanxess says that, following a feasility study, it is going ahead with plans to convert an emulsion styrene butadiene rubber (E-SBR) plant at Triunfo, Brazil, to solution styrene butadiene rubber (S-SBR). The former is used in standard tires while S-SBR is used in high-performance green tires. The cost of the project has been put at €80 million ($104.3 million).
