Lanxess Plans Expansion in India

Lanxess says it is looking to substantially expand its activities in India. The company will announce significant investments in new projects in India this year, in addition to capacity expansions under way, it says. “For us, India is the most important growth market in Asia after China,” says Lanxess chairman Axel Heitmann. “We are working on the assumption that the country will take over from Japan and move into second place in terms of sales by 2010.” Lanxess started operations last month at a plant for the production of polymer-bound...
