Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Kuwait Set to Build Third Olefins Plant7:26 AM MST | November 18, 2011 Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC; Kuwait City) is expected to go ahead with the country’s long-planned third olefins project. Mohammed Al Busairi, Kuwait Oil Minister and chairman of KPC, says that KPC has completed the project’s feasibility study. The unit will be based on a mixed-feed cracker, using gas and liquid feedstocks, Maha Mulla Hussain, chairperson of Petrochemical Industries Co. (PIC) told the local media. The complex is expected to be built at Al Zour, downstream from a new refinery being built by Kuwait National Petroleum Corporation (KNPC)...
