Kuwait Details Olefins III Investment Plans

Kuwait’s previously announced Olefins III project is expected to be completed by the end of 2016, Maha Mulla Hussain, chairperson of Petrochemical Industries Co. (PIC) tells CW. The planned complex will be designed to produce 1.4 million m.t./year of ethylene and less than half that amount of propylene, Hussain says. Downstream facilities will make products including polyethylene and ethylene glycol.
