Keyuan to build ABS, S-SBR plants under major expansion plan

Keyuan Petrochemicals (Ningbo, China) says it has begun preconstruction work to build a 400,000-m.t./year acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) unit in Guangxi Province, China, and expects to have the first phase completed in the fourth quarter of 2014. Keyuan also plans to build a 150,000-m.t./year solution styrene butadiene rubber (S-SBR) unit by the end of 2015 and an oil catalytic cracking facility by the end of this year.
