Jacobs Awarded Fertilizer Contracts in South Africa

Jacobs Engineering has been awarded contracts by Foskor (Johannesburg) to design and fabricate two final acid towers and one acid cooler for Foskor’s sulfuric acid plants at Richards Bay, South Africa. Jacobs is designing the equipment and process for two final acid towers using the company’s proprietary technology. Jacobs is also designing and fabricating a proprietary anodically protected sulfuric acid cooler. The contracts follow a project to replace an acid cooler that Jacobs completed for Foskor in 2009.
