JGC Confirms Deal to Expand Petro Rabighâ€™s Ethane Cracker

JGC has confirmed CWâ€™s exclusive report that the company will be responsible for the previously announced expansion of Petro Rabighâ€™s ethane cracker at Rabigh, Saudi Arabia. JGC signed a deal to add 300,000 m.t./year of ethylene capacity at the cracker, which will raise the plantâ€™s total to 1.6 million m.t./year. The ethylene hike forms part of the Rabigh II project, a $7-billion expansion program by Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical, the joint owners of Petro Rabigh.
