Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects JGC Confirms Deal to Expand Petro Rabigh’s Ethane Cracker8:00 AM MDT | August 17, 2012 JGC has confirmed CW’s exclusive report that the company will be responsible for the previously announced expansion of Petro Rabigh’s ethane cracker at Rabigh, Saudi Arabia. JGC signed a deal to add 300,000 m.t./year of ethylene capacity at the cracker, which will raise the plant’s total to 1.6 million m.t./year. The ethylene hike forms part of the Rabigh II project, a $7-billion expansion program by Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical, the joint owners of Petro Rabigh.
