Ineos receives planning permit to build ethane tank at Grangemouth

Ineos says that the local council of Falkirk, UK, has told the company that its planning application for the construction of an ethane tank at its Grangemouth, UK, complex has been approved. The 60,000–cubic meter capacity ethane storage tank will allow ethane to be imported from the United States via the Grangemouth docks, stored, and then processed at the Grangemouth site’s existing ethylene plant. “This is great news for those who work at Grangemouth or who are associated with our operations,” says Harry Deans, CEO/olefins and polymers, United Kingdom...
