Ineos, Sinopec sign JV agreement for phenol-acetone plant in China

Ineos Phenol and Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical (Sinopec YPC) have signed a joint venture agreement and articles of association to form a 50-50 jv company at Nanjing, China, for the companiesâ€™ previously announced phenol acetone project. The jv, Ineos YPC Phenol Nanjing, will build the largest phenol acetone plant in China, at the Nanjing Chemical Industrial Park. The project will involve a total investment of $500 million, and the plant is expected to be operational by the end of 2016.
