Ineos Plans Ethylidene Norbornene Plant in Southeast Asia

Ineos Oxide, an Ineos subsidiary, says it is carrying out site selection studies in Southeast Asia to build a world-scale ethylidene norbornene (ENB) plant by 2015. The studies focus on feedstock availability. “We believe ongoing global growth and potential new-build demand from ENB customers, particularly in ethylene-propylene-diene monomer [EPDM], will require new ENB capacity and we believe Southeast Asia is the right location for us to access these growing markets,” says Hans Casier, CEO of Ineos Oxide.
