India’s Opal Complex Delayed Until 2013

Completion of ONGC Petro-Additions’ (Opal; Mumbai) previously announced multibillion-dollar petrochemical project has been delayed, CW has learned. Senior executives at Opal tell CW that the $3.1-billion joint venture between ONGC (New Delhi), Gail (New Delhi), and Gujarat State Petroleum Corp. (Gandhinagar, India) will be onstream in the second quarter of 2013, instead of the end of 2012, as originally planned.
