Grupa Azoty hikes nylon-6 production and fertilizer granulation capacity

Grupa Azoty (Tarnów, Poland) is launching investments in the plastics and fertilizers segments. The company will build additional nylon-6 production and calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN) granulation plants with an estimated cost of 460 million zloty ($152.9 million) and with start-ups in 2016. Grupa Azoty says it has secured all necessary corporate approvals. Grupa Azoty’s own funds and a credit facility will finance the nylon-6 plant, which will have an annual production capacity of 80,000 m.t. and cost of up to Zl 320 million.
