Gazprom, Sibur join forces in major gas-petchems plan

Gazprom and Sibur have signed a memorandum of cooperation that envisages the construction of a gas-processing plant (GPP) and a petrochemical complex at Belogorsk, in Russia’s far east. The memorandum was signed by Alexey Miller, chairman of Gazprom; and Sibur CEO, Dmitry Konov. The document outlines the framework for the implementation of the GPP facility. Feedstock for this facility is expected to be sourced from natural gas–production centers at Yakutia and Irkutsk, Russia, which Gazprom is developing under the company’s Eastern Gas Program...
