Fluor awarded BASF TDI plant contract at Ludwigshafen

Fluor says it has secured an engineering, procurement, and construction management services contract for BASF’s previously announced toluene diisocyanate (TDI) project at the company’s Ludwigshafen site. The contract value has not been disclosed. The single-train TDI plant will be designed to produce 300,000 m.t./year. Production is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2014.
