Fire on vessel carrying equipment likely to delay Petronasâ€™s project

Petronas (Kuala Lumpur) says a contractor has notified the company of a fire incident aboard a vessel carrying equipment items to Petronas Chemicalsâ€™ subsidiary Petronas Chemicals Fertilizer Sabah. The equipment was headed for the $1.5-billion Sabah Ammonia and Urea (Samur) project, one of Petronas Chemicalsâ€™ main growth projects. The incident disrupted the delivery of critical equipment to the project, leading to potential delays, the company says.
