ExxonMobil licenses technology to debottleneck autoclave LDPE plant

ExxonMobil Chemical Technology Licensing says it has licensed its proprietary tubular-tail technology to Thai Polyethylene (TPE), a subsidiary of Siam Cement Group. ExxonMobil Chemical’s process will lead to the debottlenecking and retrofitting of the autoclave reactor at TPE’s low-density polyethylene (PE) plant at Map Ta Phut. It is the first installation of tubular-tail technology on an autoclave reactor developed by the former ICI to produce PE.
