Evonik Awards Isophorone Plant Deal in China to WorleyParsons

Evonik Industries says it has awarded WorleyParsons a detailed engineering, procurement support, and construction management contract for a previously announced isophorone and isophorone diamine complex. The plants will be built at Evonik’s multi-user site at Caojing, near Shanghai, and they will be designed to produce a combined 50,000 m.t./year. Start-up is scheduled for the first quarter of 2014. Evonik is extending its global production of isophorone and isophorone diamine into Asia and WorleyParsons will act as an engineering partner, says Udo Kowalczik...
