Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Engro Seeks Fertilizer JV in Algeria12:06 PM MDT | March 17, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Engro Chemical Pakistan (Karachi) is seeking to establish a joint venture with Perphos (Algiers) to manufacture phosphate fertilizers in Algeria. Engro said in a filing to the Karachi Stock Exchange last week that it is interested in establishing the jv after conducting a detailed feasibility study. The location of the complex has not yet been determined, but it would consist of a 3,000-m.t./day diammonium phosphate plant, three 4,500 m.t./day sulfuric acid units, and three 1,500 m.t./day phosphoric acid facilities, as well as infrastructure and utilities...
