ENI to convert Venice oil refinery into a biofuels refinery

ENI (Rome) plans to convert its Venice oil refinery into a biofuels refinery at a cost of €100 million ($130 million). The company met with local and national institutions, as well as trade unions, to explain the concept of the green refinery, which will produce innovative and high-quality biofuels, ENI says. The project will start with conversion of the refinery’s existing facilities. This will be launched in the second quarter of 2013 and completed by the end of that year.
