Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Dwory Transfers Ethylbenzene Stake to PKN; Plans PBR Plant12:07 PM MDT | July 27, 2007 | Natasha Alperowicz Firma Chemiczna Dwory (Oswiecim, Poland) says it has transferred its stake in a planned ethylbenzene (EB) manufacturing joint venture to its partner, PKN Orlen (Plock, Poland), and will instead source EB and butadiene from PKN under a 15-year contract (CW, Feb. 7, p. 15). Dwory was expected to have a 49% stake in the jv, Etylobenzen Plock, and PKN was to have the rest. Etylobenzen Plock will build a $20-million, 120,000-m.t./year EB plant at Plock by early 2009 and will supply the unit’s entire output to Dwory. PKN, meanwhile, will add 40,000 m.t./year of...
