Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Dow Licenses Unipol Polypropylene Process to China7:17 AM MDT | September 21, 2012 Jiutai Energy (Zhungeer, China), a subsidiary of Jiutai Energy Group (Beijing), has signed an agreement to license Unipol polypropylene (PP) technology from Dow Chemical for a 350,000-m.t./year plant at Zhungeer, near Ordos, in the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia, China. The plant will receive propylene feedstock from an adjacent methanol-to-olefins plant. It will be designed to produce a full range of PP grades, including homo, random, and impact copolymers.
