Chevron Phillips Chemical Studies Petchems Complex in Iraq

Chevron Phillips Chemical (CPChem) has signed a letter of intent to develop an integrated petrochemical complex in Basra Province, Iraq, Hanaa Al Husseini, spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Minerals (Baghdad) says. CPChem will evaluate plans to build a new petchems complex and upgrade an existing one, Al Husseini says. Further details were not disclosed.
