Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects CPDC to Build Phenol-Acetone Complex in China6:05 AM MST | December 9, 2011 China Petrochemical Development Corp. (CPDC; Taipei), a leading producer of caprolactam, says in a recent filing to the Taiwan stock exchange that it plans to invest NT$30 billion ($987 million) to build a phenol-acetone plant in Jiangsu Province, China. The investment would result in vertical integration to caprolactam. CPDC says its board of directors has approved the investment plan and that it will seek approvals from Taiwanese and Chinese authorities to go ahead with the project.
