CB&I and Clariant to commission PP catalyst plant at Louisville next year

CB&I and Clariant say their previously announced Ziegler-Natta (ZN) polypropylene (PP) catalyst production plant at Louisville, KY, is on schedule to begin production in 2015. The plant forms part of a long-term partnership between Clariant’s catalysts business and CB&I’s Lummus Novolen technology business. The facility, at Clariant’s largest US production hub, will combine catalysts jointly developed by each company with high-capacity output to serve the PP industry. Based on joint R&D efforts, a series of new ZN PP catalysts will be produced...
