Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Borouge Takes Over Abu Dhabi Melamine Project...9:43 AM MDT | July 27, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Borealis says that its Borouge (Abu Dhabi) affiliate will take over a melamine plant in Abu Dhabi that is currently being built by Agrolinz Melamine International (AMI; Linz, Austria) and Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (Adnoc). The previously announced project involves constructing an 80,000-m.t./year melamine unit at Ruwais. The front-end engineering and design phase of the project has begun, and the plant is likely to come onstream after completion of the Borouge 2 complex at Ruwais in 2010, Borealis says (story, below).
