Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Borouge Opens Australasia Offices10:41 AM MDT | July 23, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Borouge says it has opened sales and services offices in Melbourne, Australia, and Auckland, New Zealand in a bid to grow the company’s presence in Asia/Pacific. Borouge is a 60-40 joint venture between Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. and Borealis. The new offices will help service Borouge 2, the company’s petrochemical complex at Ruwais, Abu Dhabi set to come onstream in 2010. The new complex will have a 1.4 million m.t./year ethylene plant, a 540,000-m.t./year Borstar-process polyethylene plant, a 752,000-m.t./year of propylene unit, and two...
