Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Borealis upgrades production plants in Sweden and Finland8:43 AM MST | February 8, 2013 Borealis says it will spend €45.0 million ($60.5 million) at its manufacturing plants at Stenungsund, Sweden; and Porvoo, Finland. The investments are aimed at strengthening the company’s supply and support capabilities. An upgrade of the 116,000-m.t./year C4 facility at Stenungsund will enable the plant’s raffinate-1 and raffinate-2 streams to meet required product specifications for the delivery of n-butenes.
