Bayer to Expand Polycarbonate Capacity in Germany

Bayer MaterialScience says it will invest about €90 million ($133 million) to expand polycarbonate (PC) capacity at the company’s Krefeld-Uerdingen, Germany site from 330,000 m.t./year, to 400,000 m.t./year over the next four years. “Global demand for polycarbonate has increased considerably with the strongest growth in Asia/Pacific, particularly in China.
