Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Badger Provides Cumene Technology for Mitsui-Sinopec Plant in China5:57 AM MDT | April 6, 2012 Badger Licensing, a joint venture between affiliates of the Shaw Group and ExxonMobil Chemical, has been awarded a contract by Shanghai Sinopec Mitsui Chemicals (SSMC) to provide technology for a 332,500-m.t./year cumene plant to be built at Shanghai. SSMC is a 50-50 jv between Sinopec and Mitsui Chemicals. The contract includes the technology license, process design, and start-up services.
