BOC Signs Gas Supply Deal With Perdaman

Perdaman Chemicals & Fertilisers (Perth, Australia) says it has signed a long term gas supply contract with an estimated value of A$1 billion ($1 billion) with BOC, part of the Linde group, for the previously announced $3.5-billion urea manufacturing plant at Collie, Western Australia. BOC will supply nitrogen and oxygen over a 20-year period, with an additional five-year option, to the Perdaman project which will convert coal into urea using coal gasification technology.
