BASF to build coating additives plant at Nanjing, China, site

BASF says it will build a coating additives production plant at Nanjing, China, that will cater to the Chinese and Asia/Pacific markets. The plant, slated to be onstream early next year, will initially focus on the production of solvent-based additives under the BASF brand Efka, mainly for industrial and automotive coatings. The plant will adopt process technology and manufacturing procedures similar to those in place at BASF’s Heerenveen, Netherlands, unit.
