Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects BASF Fina JV Awards Cracker Furnace Contract to Selas5:50 AM MST | January 27, 2012 BASF Fina Petrochemicals, a 60-40 joint venture between BASF Corp. and Total Petrochemicals, has awarded a contract to Selas Fluid Processing Corp., a Linde Engineering subsidiary, for a cracking furnace. The furnace will be installed at the jv’s Port Arthur, TX olefins facility. The furnace will make the plant more flexible—allowing it to crack ethane, naphtha, and/or liquefied petroleum gas—and it will increase the plant’s capacity.
