Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Agrium Seeks Site for U.S. Fertilizer Investment10:17 AM MDT | June 22, 2012 Agrium says it is planning a nitrogen fertilizer plant in the U.S. Midwest and that it is looking for a suitable site. The company says it is looking to take advantage of low natural gas prices in the U.S. The plant would be designed to produce 2 million m.t./year of fertilizers, mainly urea and urea ammonium nitrate, and would likely be completed in early 2017. The project, together with proposed expansions of Agrium’s nitrogen plants at Redwater, AB and Borger, TX has not yet been approved by the company’s...
