Acron goes ahead with ammonia investment in Russia

Acron (Velikiy Novgorod), one of Russiaâ€™s largest producers of fertilizers, has received an approval and the necessary permits to build the companyâ€™s previously announced ammonia-4 plant. The unit will be designed to produce 700,000 m.t./year and be built at Velikiy Novgorod at a cost of $420 million. Completion is slated for 2015. The unit will increase Acronâ€™s total ammonia capacity to 2.5 million m.t./year.
