The contract is worth about $300 million, CB&I says. The scope of the award includes the license and basic engineering for the ethylene technology; the supply of cracking furnaces; and detailed engineering, procurement, and construction. The project will increase Williams’s ethylene capacity at Geismar from 1.35 billion lbs/year to 1.95 billion lbs/year.
