Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects ...and Lupotech Process to Samsung Total for LDPE-EVA Copolymer Plant6:02 AM MST | February 17, 2012 Samsung Total Petrochemicals has selected LyondellBasell’s Lupotech T technology for a previously announced 200,000-m.t./year low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer plant. The plant will be built at Samsung Total’s Daesan, Korea complex with start-up scheduled for 2013. Samsung Total also recently announced a $1.8-billion project to build a second aromatics complex at Daesan with capacity for 1 million m.t./year of para -xylene and 420,000 m.t./year of benzene, for completion by September...
