Small Gain in Indicator

The leading indicator for the chemical industry rose 0.2% in April, after falling 0.7% in the previous month. All of the major components of the leading indicator were positive for the latest period. A strong stock market helped to lift the average chemical company share price, and there was an unexpected rise in housing starts, analysts say.
