That level is still well-above the low reached in December 2006, but there is “substantial weakness” in some of the indicator’s components, analysts say. The only component exhibiting any strength is the average chemical industry stock price, and “given the volatile nature of the stock market, this strength can easily be reversed,” analysts say.
