Indicator Dips

The leading indicator for the chemical industry fell slightly in December, although chemical production has accelerated in recent months after a sluggish mid-year period. Overall manufacturing growth stalled last month, after 10 consecutive months of growth, according to the Institute of Supply Management (ISM; Tempe, AZ).
