Overall manufacturing growth stalled last month, after 10 consecutive months of growth, according to the Institute of Supply Management (ISM; Tempe, AZ). Production fell almost five percentage points compared to November, ISM says. New orders and inventories also fell in December, while backlogs remained flat.
