Bayer Technology Services has named Gunter Bachlechner head of research, replacing Helmut Mothes, who is retiring. Bachlechner is currently head of research technologies at Bayer CropScience. He will assume the new position on June 1, and Mothes will retire July 1. Bachlechner joined Bayer in 1987 in the crop protection division and he has held a variety of posts since then.
